All of our au pairs have been registered and interviewed by our overseas agents. We are proud to say they have all provided a criminal record check and references. They come to England to live with you, the ‘host family’. Au pairs attend a language course and in exchange for a room and weekly pocket money, they assist you with childcare, babysitting and light household duties.
As a parent, I understand the challenge of juggling careers and children. I have used all forms of childcare, namely: nurseries, child minders, au pairs, most times, a combination of two! As a parent, you want to ensure that you have affordable childcare and your children are developing as well as being taken care of whilst in a safe environment. This is where hosting an au pair is an invaluable experience, provided, that you as a host family, are willing to accept someone who would like to experience the culture of the United Kingdom. The au pair will look after your children in your home environment, attend playgroups and even teach them another language if you wish!
As Owner, I believe I have exceptional experience in this field, having been an au pair twice myself in the U.S.A & Netherlands. I managed a branch of an au pair agency in South Africa, interviewing and placing girls in Europe and America. I have now been a host mother for a few years and have had wonderful au pairs who have been a massive help in helping me organise my family!
